Police have said that a motorist involved in an accident in Langley Mill this morning was over twice the legal drink drive limit.

The incident took place at 7.21am when the driver of a silver Toyota Yaris drove down the wrong side of Station Road before colliding head on with a black Citroen C1.

The Derbyshire Road Policing Unit said the male driver of the Yaris was breathalysed and was found to be over twice the legal drink drive limit.

They ended their tweet informing the public of the incident with the hashtag #DontDrinkAndDrive.
