Jacksdale rider Kyle Ryde has been released from his contract following the withdrawal of his Ranieri med team from the World Supersport Championship.

The team withdraw with immediate effect in a move which came out of the blue for Ryde.

A spokesman for Ryde said: “It is with great regret that we have to inform you, Team Ranieri Med - SC Racing have withdrawn from the 2016 World Supersport Championship with immediate effect.

“This devastating news has come completely out of the blue with no prior discussion or warning.

“Team Ranieri Med have rightly released Kyle from his contract to allow him to pursue other opportunities.

“We cannot comment further at this point but a statement will be released in due course outlining Kyles current situation.”

Ryde finished in a creditable 14th position during his last race in Assen.
