A JACKSDALE grandmother is busy knitting blankets in a bid to raise money for the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
Karen Robinson says she will make blankets of any size or colour to order from her village home, for the price of a donation to the leukaemia ward of the hospital. Her grandson Alex Hubbon, aged five, of Main Street in the village, was diagnosed with leukaemia a year ago and is being treated there.
She said: “People can call me. It is up to them how much they want to donate. I will provide the wool. They just need to tell me the size and colour. It will go to a really good cause.”
