Kids learn to say no to drugs

PUPILS at Lynncroft Primary School have just completed a drugs awareness programme.

Teachers organised for kids to take the ten-week Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) course to educate them about saying no to drugs, alcohol and cigarettes in later life.

The course was led by Pc Alvin Cable and two teachers at the school, who acted out a series of role plays with the children to highlight the dangers.

Peer pressure was one of the issues addressed in the course and the pupils performed a rap song and presented a Powerpoint presentation to their parents.

A small graduation assembly was held where the year five and six children were presented with graduation certificates.
