A new project called Kidsfit to help children get fit while having fun is getting under way at Alfreton, Ripley and William Gregg VC Leisure Centres.
Kidsfit is an action packed session with music, dance, games and activities that can range from limbo dancing to hula hooping.
Jackie Goacher, General Manager at William Gregg VC Leisure Centre in Heanor said: “Two major factors in the rising problem of childhood obesity are that children are becoming less active and increasingly eating unbalanced diets.
“Kidsfit hits the spot for tackling both of these issues through the provision of fantastic, fun workouts and using the change4life website to help encourage children to increase their activity and eat healthily.”
