A GENEROUS kickboxing group from Heanor has helped raise more than £1,000 for the Huntington’s Disease Association.
Amber Valley Kickboxing, which runs classes Heanor clubbed together £1,165 at its latest inter-club tournament.
The charity was chosen after one of the club’s members lost his mother to the disease.
In addition to the fights, the club also held a raffle which had more than 40 prizes donated by local businesses and club members.
Instructor Neil Fletcher said: “I’m so proud of everyone who took part and supported this event - spectators, businesses and competitors.”
