A YOUNG woman from Alfreton has landed a work placement with Amber Valley Borough Housing thanks to the Future Jobs Fund.
Kayleigh Skellett, 18, has already started the six-month placement to gain experience in the working world as part of an initiative to get young people into jobs.
Amber Valley Housing executive director Paul Parkinson said: “We hope offering young people work experience in an office environment will help them to develop skills which will improve their chances of employment in the long run.”
Amber Valley Housing has created a total of five positions through the fund. Tom Fox, from Belper, is also on a work placement with the borough council.
