Join Heanor traders’ group

Madam,

Traders are invited to join the Heanor Traders’ Association.

You may be aware that the Heanor Traders’ Association (HTA) has been running now for a number of months.

We are working hard to raise the profile of the town centre and find solutions to the current issues we all face, including: The demise of the market; empty shops and the negative image of the town centre and decreasing footfall and trade generally in the town,

We have already had considerable success in forging relationships with key individuals in the town, including representatives from Amber Valley borough and Derbyshire county councils, the local Chamber of Commerce and Derby College, to name just a few.

One specific request, we have put forward is a proposal to take over the running of the market, and we are in the process of acquiring permission to put up displays in several of the empty shop fronts.

As we move forward, we want to make sure that the association represents the views and opinions of all of the traders and businesses, and that each and every one has a voice in shaping the future of our town.

To make sure your voice is heard, and to have your say on these and other important issues, which may affect your business, we’re inviting you to join the traders’ association.

Why join the association?

n Find out early about proposals, actions and events occurring in the town.

n Make sure your views are taken into account on matters that will affect your business (or your job, if you aren’t the business owner).

n Be part of increasing the footfall in the town, increasing your own customer numbers and profits at the same time.

n Improve the prospects of our town, increase job security and help make this a great place to live and work again.

n Feel part of the business community, network and make new contacts/friends.

Meetings are relatively informal and take place in the Heanor Market Cafe in the early evenings. The next meeting is scheduled for tonight, Thursday, March 1, at 5.30pm. The more traders and businesses that join, the stronger our voice will be and the more influence we can bring to bear to make real and tangible change in Heanor.

We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting for more information call 07534509014.
