I have just read your reports about the railway bridge at Sawmills on the internet.
The reason that I looked it up was due to an article in the Steam Railway Magazine that stated that the Midland Railway Centre were hoping to relay tracks over it to reconnect to the main line.
This would enable them to receive special trains on to the centre bringing tourists who would support local businesses, but there is a move to pull it down.
To make a point when the Severn Valley Railway closed in 2007 due to flooding all the businesses close to the stations had their takings down.
Something for the council to think about
