A SENIOR sister at Ilkeston Community Hospital has worked her last shift after 11 years on the outpatients ward.
Paulette Johnson, 60, plans to play more badminton, go for walks and visit her daughters in London and Manchester during her retirement.
During her time at the Heanor Road hospital she has cared for thousands of patients.
She said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time working here and it’s been an emotional day. I’ll miss the people more than anything. They’re a great bunch and it’s been lovely working with them all.”
