Pentrich Village Hall will be the venue for a number of Tuesday evening events over the next four months.
The talks are all being hosted by the Pentrich Historical Society and there will be refreshments available.
On September 20 there will be a lecture on Langley Mill Pottery by John and Jennifer Giblin.
A month later on October 18 the topic will be the impact of Thomas Cook and Son in opening up popular travel by Danny Wells.
The focus on November 15 will be Derbyshire’s role in the Civil War with Brian Stone as speaker.
Finally on December 20, the lecture will be on powerful women and the making of Bess of Hardwick. by Mike Parkin.
