a GROUP of friends have dyed their hair purple, blue and crimson in a bid to raise cash for charity.

Jacqui Beresford, from Ripley, has leukaemia, and her friends Karen Slater, Helen Collins and Anna Andrews from Belper dyed their hair to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust.

The vivid dyes were put in at the Strand hair salon in Belper and Jacqui was presented with a bouquet from Lilac Flowers. Karen said: “I’ve gone electric blue, Helen has gone purple and Anna has gone crimson. We’ve all got an orange fringe because that is the colour of the ribbon for blood cancers.” Donate at www.justgiving.com/Karen-Slater0
