A squad of 30 swimmers from Heanor Swimming and Lifesaving Club attended the Rookie Lifeguard National Festival at Retford leisure centre on October 25.
The competition involved all junior members of the club up to the age of 14.
The under eight team of Matthew Cowland, Alfie Bates, Macy Lawson and Phoebe Proctor bagged first place.
All age categories from ten to 14 took home a gold medal for their efforts.
The Rookie Lifeguard festival is organised under the direction of the Royal Lifesaving Society and is intended for Rookie Lifeguards to enhance their ifesaving skills.
