KIDs at Kimberley Primary School embroidered different animals last week as part of their ‘golden time’.
Children are given one hour golden time a week to do something fun if they behave, and last week a group of pupils worked with a local Kimberley resident to get creative as part of their topic in school ‘under the microscope’.
Pupils are given the choice of doing arts and crafts, sports, computing or construction.
Headteacher Jennifer Porter said the golden time was part of their enrichment curriculum.
“Every week the children can earn golden time by following the school’s behaviour policy. For every week for one hour they have something different, out of the curriculum.
“It’s something different and a bit special that they wouldn’t have the chance to do in big groups in normal school time.”
