Thieves took off with a bagful of meat from a Matlock supermarket this week.

The two culprits walked in to Co-op on the corner of Firs Parade on Monday afternoon at around 4.20pm.

They headed for the refrigerated area of the shop with a carrier bag and filled it up with 12 pre-packed joints of gammon before fleeing along Firs Parade.

They were described as being in their late teens with one being 5ft 8” tall with short dark hair, a bright blue Adidas hooded jumper. The other was about 5ft 6” with brown hair wearing a dark shiny jacket with a grey lining.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
