A KITTY from a Saturday night pub quiz has raised £320 for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance service (DLRAA).

Archie Cooke, 73, from Holbrook Street in Heanor, has been running quizzes at the Great Northern pub in Langley Mill for the past ten years.

The general knowledge expert donated the funds from a collection jar passed round at the weekly pub quiz and the money made through a charity raffle. Archie said: “With the air ambulance being so reliant on charity it needs a lot to keep going, we were just doing our bit.”
