PUB PUNTERS enjoyed the driest day of the bank holiday weekend by heading to a Heanor fun day. The Mundy Arms on Ilkeston Road has been under new management since February.
On Saturday the pub grounds were open for a fun day to mark nearing the end of school summer holidays.
There was a bouncy castle, an inflatable slide and a fire engine for the youngsters to play on, while the adults enjoyed a barbecue and a make-up display inside. Punters also entered a prize draw to win a new Mini. Kirsty Osborne, 22, from Holbrook Street In Heanor, and a waitress at the pub, helped out on the day.
She said: “The kids loved it there was really good feedback from everyone.”
