WORK has started on the last phase of redevelopment at Heanor Memorial Park.
The £400,000 renovation scheme comprises new paths, furniture and a brand-new £80,000 multi-purpose bandstand for events and festivals. Work is expected to be completed by December.
The final phase will see the refurbishment of the cenotaph and the redesign of the pond at the bottom of the park.
Cllr Jack Brown MBE saidthis week: “This is the final push in what represents the biggest change to parks in Heanor for generations. I hope the improvements will encourage people to use the parks for many years to come.”
