THIS YEAR’S Ripley Music Festival will be bigger and better than ever say its organisers.
The tenth town festival will see nine stages packed with mainly free musical performances in a range of styles around Ripley from Saturday, July 9, to Sunday, July 17.
Ripley town councillor, Steven Freeborn said this year will see the free to watch big stage on Crossley Park used for two days rather than the usual one. He added: “It really has become the biggest event. It’s the Ripley community that make this event.”
All Saints’ Church will play host to a week of performances by classical acts such as the Sonara Singers. The Alfreton based choir will perform a specially comissioned piece by composer, Alex Patterson on Friday, July 15.
Tickets for all classical concerts can be bought from the England and Barker jewellers on Grosvenor Road costing £6 each or £22 for all five.
