Get back to nature at Shipley Country Park

Youngsters can learn about nature and wildlife through Shipley Country Park’s Nature Watch Club this summer.

The club meets monthly and has announced two upcoming events for children to take part in.

A bug safari is to take place on Sunday, June 2, when young explorers will be encouraged to search for beetles, butterflies and other bugs in leaf litter and under logs between 2pm and 4pm.

Fun seekers can splash out the following month by netting underwater creatures in a pond-dipping session and learning how they have adapted to their aquatic habitat.

The activity runs from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, July 14.
