STAFF at an opticians in Ripley have been collecting Easter eggs, proving it is not just youngsters who enjoy getting in the Easter spirit.
The staff at the Oxford Street shop turned Easter bunnies for the day as they asked the public to donate chocolate eggs in aid of the Holbrook Centre for Autism.
And the opticians also held a bake sale on the high street to raise £95 for the pupils at the school. The money was then used to buy even more eggs.
In total a haul of 125 of the chocolate treats were handed over to the school’s pupils.
Optical assistant, Louise Hope, 27, from Fairfield Road, in Horsley Woodhouse, said the idea of the day was so that all of the children at the Holbrook Centre could enjoy a chocolate egg this year. She added: “It was definitely a fun day! I kept forgetting I had rabbit ears on. We just want to say a big thank you to all the public and the businesses who donated.”
