Students at John Flamsteed Community School in Ripley are hoping for the sweet taste of success in a cooking contest organised by Derbyshire County Council.
For the second year running, the authority is staging the Student Chef of the Year awards.
And the Ripley pupils will don their chef whites to battle it out for the title with contenders from six other schools.
The students will prepare a main course and dessert for four people, which will be judged on their nutritional content, preparation and cooking skills, taste and presentation. The contest takes place on Friday June 29 at The Dome in Buxton.
