Ockbrook School and Sixth Form students have celebrated another fantastic A-level performance.

The school reported 45 per cent of the grades achieved were A*-A, and 74 per cent A*-B.

Headmaster Tom Brooksby said: “Our students have again surpassed themselves.

“I congratulate them and their excellent teachers on a job well done.”

Top performers include 18-year-old Caroline Morgan, from Littleover, who achieved A-levels in biology (A*), chemistry (A*), physics (A) and mathematics (A), and Charlotte Brown, 18, who lives in Denby, for her achievements in art (A*), business studies (A) and food technology (A).

Meanwhile, 17-year-old Head Girl Emily Kent, from Holbrook, celebrated success in music (A*), German (A) and theatre studies (A).

Mr Brooksby added: “Our students have done so well and I am particularly proud of the breadth of subjects at which they have excelled.

“They have had a first-rate sixth form experience.”
