Mill Hill celebrates another year of record GCSE results

A record number of pupils at Ripley Mill Hill School will discover they have passed their maths GCSE this morning.

Seventy-two per cent of students achieved A*-C in Mathematics, up from 69% last year.

Sixty-one per cent of students achieved five A*-C including English and Mathematics and a total of 84% of candidates scored five A*-C grades.

The overall pass rate was 100% and 29% of students achieved three of more A*-A grades.

Sixty-eight per cent of students achieved A*-C grades in English.

Acting head teacher Carey Ayres said she was really pleased with this year’s results as they reflected the hard work and effort of the students, staff, parents and carers.

She said “We are very proud of everyone. Many students have achieved very highly indeed.”
