KIDS have been acting as detectives this week after a crime scene was set up in school.
Teachers told the children someone had stolen an animal from a nearby zoo and dumped it in the school grounds. The animal escaped, but kids had to establish what kind of animal it was, and who was responsible for the crime.
Kids at Brookhill Leys Primary School were tasked with the challenge following a visit from a forensic scientist as part of science week.
They matched fibres up to that at the crime scene and looked at fingerprints using real forensic science technology.
Student teacher Charlotte Woodhouse said: “They absolutely loved it.”
