The Met Office has forecast that the cloudy and rainy weather will move northwards leaving brighter spells today, Tuesday, October 7, in and around Derbyshire.
The initial cloudy conditions with some heavy, showery rain will slowly move away, forecasters predict.
It is expected to become drier and brighter from the south during the afternoon with some sunshine but a few isolated showers are still possible.
Light winds are expected initially, according to the Met Office, and it should then become breezier.
By tonight, there will be showers which will die away quickly leaving a dry and mostly clear night.
Top temperatures are expected to reach 11 degrees centigrade with lows of around six degrees centigrade.
