FINAL sites for new housing development will be decided on in a meeting next week.
Nottinghamshire County Council’s cabinet will meet to propose a final list of sites on May 1.
The cabinet’s recommendations will then be passed to full council for a vote on May 16.
A list of suggested sites has been on the Broxtowe Borough Council website over the last couple of months, causing uproar among local residents and concern among councillors.
Suggested sites incorporated 1,500 new homes in Eastwood and a further 1,500 set out across three sites around Brinsley.
On top of that, Kimberley was earmarked for over 400 houses, Giltbrook 700, including 483 houses near Baker Road, and a further 734 could be built off Woodhouse Way in Nuthall.
