Warning after four bike thefts in month

A SPATE of bike thefts in Long Eaton have prompted police to issue a warning to residents.

In the last month four bicycles have been stolen from in and around the town centre, a force spokesman said this week.

Pc Sarah Horton from the town’s police station said: “We would like to remind residents to secure their bikes. They can do this by using a bike chain secured to a permanent fixture or by locking them away in a secure shed or garage.”

For further crime prevention advice call the force on non-emergency number 101.
