Police in Swanwick are appealing for information after 20 vehicles had their tyres damaged overnight.

The vehicles were parked on High Street, Minister Way, New Street and Pentrich Road overnight between Wednesday, June 12 and Thursday, June 13.

PC Chris Anthony, of the Somercotes and Riddings Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are making enquiries and stepping up patrols in the local area but we would urge residents to be vigilant and to contact us if they saw or heard anything suspicious.

“These motorists now face the inconvenience and cost of covering repairs or for new tyres. This type of needless damage won’t be tolerated and we will be taking action against those that caused this.”

Anyone with information should contact Derbyshire police on 101, the non emergency number, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
