Tobacco stolen in night time raid

Witnesses are being sought to a burglary at a Kilburn convenience store last Tuesday.

Metro Stores on Chapel Street was broken into at around 9.15pm on Tuesday, October 23, via a rear security shutter.

Burglars took cigarettes and tobacco from a stock room there and damage was caused to the rear of the store by a car, police say.

Witnesses saw a red hatchback in the area before the burglary and police believe a gang of four males committed the crime.

One of the men wore a dark jacket and a beanie hat. Another wore a stripy coat.
