The latest Chesterfield magistrates’ court results are listed below as published in the June 11 edition of the Derbyshire Times.

Motoring

James Alexander Aitken, 28, of St John’s Road, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Community order to last until June 1, 2016, with rehabilitation activity and 100 hours of unpaid work. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a court charge of £150. Disqualified from driving for 24 months.

Matthew James Robinson, 21, Wren Park Close, Grangewood, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Community order to last until June 1, 2016, with a rehabilitation activity requirement and to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £150 court charge. Disqualified from driving for three years. Pleaded guilty to using a vehicle without insurance. No separate penalty. Pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence. No separate penalty.

Carly Marie Woolley, 26, of Welbeck Street, Creswell. Pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath as part of an investigation into whether she had committed an offence. Fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £150 court charge. Disqualified from driving for 20 months. Admitted committing a further offence during a suspended sentence for two counts of assault. Suspended sentence varied to 18 weeks of custody suspended for 24 months.

Jason Karol Jones, 31, of Creswell Road, Clowne, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified. Committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months with a Thinking Skills Programme and Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Must pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 16 months. Used a vehicle without insurance. No separate penalty.

Lisa Kourdache, 40, Coronation Drive, South Normanton, Alfreton. Pleaded guilty to obtaining a benefit or income support by making a false statement to the Department for Work and Pensions that she was living with a man in otherwise than prescribed circumstances. Pleaded guilty to obtaining a benefit or housing and council tax benefit by making a false statement to the Department for Work and Pensions that she was living in the same household as a man otherwise than in prescribed circumstances. Community order to last until June 1, 2016, with 200 hours of unpaid work. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £100 costs.

Andrew Brown, 40, of No Fixed Address. Found guilty of using threatening behaviour. Fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £500 costs. Pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody. No separate penalty. Must pay a court charge of £150. Admits committing a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence for offences of assault. No action taken on the breach.

Gary George Thompson, 36, of Sedgemoor Close, Loundsley Green, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to sending a Valentine’s Day card to an ex-partner which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order. Fined £150 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £300 costs. Commission of a further offence during a suspended sentence for an assault. Suspended sentence varied to 20 weeks of custody suspended for 24 months with supervision.

Michael Kolanowski, 20, of Green Terrace, Stanton Lees, Matlock. Pleaded guilty to damaging a glass window. No separate penalty. Must pay £10 compensation. Pleaded guilty to damaging the inside of a police van cell by writing or drawing on it in blood to the value of £150. Fined £165 and must pay £150 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Carl Patrick Ward, 45, of Newland Dale, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a shop window. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay £520 compensation and a court charge of £150.

Grant Nathan Fisher, 23, of Redvers Buller Road, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. Community order to last until June 1, 2016, with 80 hours of unpaid work. Restraining order to last until June 1, 2016. Must pay £50 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £150 court charge. Admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for one year for an offence of criminal damage. No action taken on the breach.

Indicated a guilty plea to ten counts of making a false statement to Bolsover District Council to obtain council tax benefit by failing to disclose an entitlement to capital in excess of the prescribed limits. Indicated a guilty plea to making a false statement to the Department for Work and Pensions with a view to obtaining a benefit for another person in that he failed to disclose an entitlement to capital and exceeded the prescribed limits. Committed to prison for 12 months suspended for 12 months and must complete 100 hours of unpaid work. Must pay an £80 victim surcharge and £100 costs.

Luke John Varley, 29, of Nottingham Road, Ripley. Used threatening behaviour. Fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Failed to surrender to custody. Fined £35 and must pay a £150 court charge.

John Anthony Layton, 29, of Hipley Close, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing four cans of beer valued at £6.49 belonging to Spar. No separate penalty. Pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody. No separate penalty. Must pay £85 costs and a £150 court charge. Admitted failing to comply with a community order. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence in respect of the community order of stealing meat valued at £75 belonging to the Co-op. Admitted another failure to comply with a community order. No adjudication. Dealt with for an original offence in respect of the community order for fraud. Dealt with for an original offence in respect of a community order of stealing meat and wash detergent. Dealt with for an original offence in respect of a community order of stealing cheese valued at £60 belonging to Spar. Committed another count of fraud. No separate penalty. Community order to last until May 31, 2016, with alcohol treatment requirement, a curfew and Thinking Skills Programme.
