Police found drugs when they searched an Alfreton man arrested in connection with a burglary.
Sean Atkinson was arrested March 28 in relation to a burglary, Chesterfield magistrates heard. He appeared as a serving prisoner, having already been jailed for 44 weeks for the break-in and handling a stolen bike a few days before the burglary. There were three subutex tablets and an empty plastic bag containing traces of amphetamine,” said his solicitor, Phil Bloore.
Atkinson, 38, of West End Close, Alfreton, admitted possessing amphetamine and subutex. The Bench gave him a one-year conditional discharge and ordered that the drugs be destroyed.
