Suspect in skull mask is linked to car key house break-in

BURGLARS who stole a car from a Langley Mill drive are being hunted by police.

Residents on Upper Dunstead Road were awoken by their dog barking at 3am on Tuesday in time to see their Honda Civic being driven away.

They later discovered that someone had broken in and taken the car keys off the kitchen table.

Detectives are linking the theft to an incident that happened 20 minutes earlier when a similar attempt was made to break into a house on Woodfield Road, in Pinxton. A resident saw a man described as slim and tall, wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a military jacket and a skull mask, leaning against the front wall of his house with two other people.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
