Spree of burglaries in Ripley

Five burglaries occurred in Ripley over the weekend.

Rings, chains, earrings and a bracelet were taken during a raid on a house on Kedleston Close, on Friday September 7, between 7am and 5.45pm.

A thief forced a rear door with a tool and searched a house on Cavendish Drive, between Saturday September 8 at 6pm and Sunday 9 at 8am.

The front window of a house on West Avenue, was smashed with a rock between Saturday September 8 at 6.30pm and Sunday 9 at 8.30am.

A window was forced open on West Avenue, between Saturday September 8 at 8pm and Sunday 9 at 8am.

In each case a search was made but it is not known if anything was taken.

A thief forced a front ground floor window of a house on Dove Road, between Saturday 8th September at 11.30am and Sunday 9 at 7.30am, but nothing was taken.

Thieves used a cutting tool to remove the exhaust from a panel van at a car park on Butterley Hill, overnight between Thursday September 6 and Friday 7.
