A DRUG dealer carrying a stash of cannabis through the area was jailed after police pulled him over on the M1.
Officers stopped 20-year-old Dorset man Luke Andrews as he passed junction 28 near South Normanton, heading south on the M1 on Thursday, August 4.
They searched the car and found a large amount of cannabis in the boot.
Andrews, of Polchester Road, Bournemouth was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis. The drug dealer was also charged with using a vehicle without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with his licence.
He pleaded guilty to the offences and was jailed for 10 months at a hearing at Derby Crown Court on Friday, September 2.
The judge also ordered the forfeiture of the Lexus IS200 saloon car he was travelling in and £178 of drugs money found in there.
