Praise for Derbyshire police

FORCE watchdogs have praised new performance figures which show Derbyshire police are making strides in tackling burglary and robbery in the county.

Levels of ‘serious acquisitive crime’ – a Home Office term to group offences of burglary, robbery and vehicle crime, fell by 15 per cent between April and August compared to 10.5 per cent last, which is 666 fewer offences.
