Police try to trace unusual bricks after tyres stolen from van in Somercotes

POLICE investigating a theft of tyres from GK Ford in Somercotes are trying to establish if the unusual edging stones that were left under the wheels are stolen.

Thieves broke a window of a minibus on the forecourt and stole a jack, they then used it to lift a van and steel the tyres.

PC Mark Stokoe from Somercotes and Swanwick Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “The bricks that were used were quite distinctive, perhaps used for edging a garden. We would like to ask residents if they have recently had any bricks stolen to get in touch with us.”

Contact PC Stokoe at Derbyshire police on the non-emergency number 101.
