DERBYSHIRE Fire and Rescue Service has hosted the official launch of four new violence, alcohol, harm and licencing (VAL) vehicles at Alfreton Community Fire Station.
The vans enable users to visit licensed premises, including pubs, clubs, restaurants, shops and fast food outlets, to help maintain the safety of customers.
Some of the partners using the vehicles include the fire service, police, trading standards, licensing and health and safety.
They act as mobile offices containing IT equipment, which allows the officers to deal with paperwork while still at the scene.
Insp Andy Smith said they enabled the partners to visit premises in a single vehicle, fully equipped.
