A man who stabbed a 15-year-old boy in the leg on a South Normanton street has been jailed for nearly two years.
Simon Winson, aged 31, assaulted the teenager in an unprovoked attack on Victoria Street, in South Normanton on the evening of June 28 this year.
The victim suffered minor injuries to his leg and was taken to hospital.
Winson was arrested nearby by a Derbyshire Constabulary armed response officer.
He was charged with unlawful wounding and having an offensive weapon.
Winson, of Gladstone Street, South Normanton pleaded guilty and was sentenced on Friday, October 18, to 21 months in prison.
