A man who was arrested on suspicion of murder in April this year has been charged with manslaughter.

Andrew Maling, 46, of Main Street, Sigglesthorne near Hull was arrested on April 8, 2015 after the death of Amy Gough on March 29.

He was questioned and released on police bail while further inquiries were carried out.

On Friday July 24 he was charged with manslaughter and is due to appear before magistrates in Derby on Tuesday, August 11.

In March Ms Gough, 34, was found injured at her home in Sandringham Road in Sandiacre. She was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham where she later died. Police were informed the following day.

Detective Inspector Graham Prince, who is investigating the death, is appealing for anyone who knew Ms Gough to contact him.

He said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who saw Amy between Tuesday March 24 and Sunday March 29. It’s very important that we piece together her movements in and around Sandiacre and possibly in Derby in the days before her death.

“Anyone with information can contact me on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
