Police are appealing for witnesses after a knife-wielding thug threatened a man during an aggravated burglary in Heanor.

Sometime between 8pm and 8.30pm on Sunday, November 16, two men entered a property on Kingsway and threatened the occupant with a knife.

The suspects demanded money from the 43-year-old victim, who handed over a quantity of cash before the two men made off.

The man with the knife is described as aged from late 20s to early 30s and of stocky build. He was wearing a dark purple tracksuit with silver or gold writing on it and a purple balaclava.

The second man is described as 5ft 8ins tall, aged in his early 20s and was tall and thin. He was clean shaven with wavy, fair hair.

He was wearing a black puffa style jacket with the hood up. Both men are white.
