Police have renewed appeals for information for a metal theft that left around 36,000 homes in Amber Valley without power.

Between Monday, July 23 at midnight and Thursday, July 26 at 4.30pm offenders broke into a substation on Loscoe Road, Heanor and stole copper earth tape.

Any witnesses to suspicious activity around that time are urged to call police on 101.
