RIPLEY folk can have their say on policing, when a public consultation arrives in the town’s Market Place, on Friday, May 11.
Representatives from Derbyshire Police Authority and Derbyshire Constabulary will be on hand between 10am and 2pm to collect local views about policing in the area and discuss issues such as the forthcoming introduction of Police and Crime Commissioners.
It’s one of nine Have Your Say events across Derbyshire running throughout May and June. The information collected will be used to develop the new Police and Crime Plan for future years.
Carole Brister, Chair of the Authority’s Citizen Focus Committee, said: “It’s important that people take part, so that we can take note. We are seeking views on local crime, anti social behaviour and communication which helps us to carry out a health check on policing in different parts of the county.”
