A suspected cannabis farm was uncovered after police called at a South Normanton home when neighbours reported what they thought was a break-in.

Officers were called to an address on Carter Lane West at 6pm on Thursday July 5, where they discovered two men acting suspiciously.

Once inside the address they discovered around 50 suspected cannabis plants, as well as lighting and growing equipment. A 33-year-old man and a 28-year-old man from Nottingham were arrested at the scene.

Three men aged 18, 26 and 31, all from Nottingham, were subsequently arrested. All five have since been bailed pending further enquiries.

If anyone has information about this incident they are asked to call police on 101.
