The Derbyshire Passport Scheme - run by Derbyshire County Council - is helping homeless youngsters to become successful volunteers as part of efforts to turn their lives around.

Youngsters linked with the P3 charity have been doing the accredited training course as part of the Ambition East Midlands programme.

The service aims to improve accommodation options and work opportunities for young, homeless people.

A P3 spokesman said: “Volunteering is essential and by receiving the Derbyshire Volunteer Passport we are ensuring that this group of young people are being given hope and aspirations for the future.”
