DERBYSHIRE police have launched a new section of their website to publish details of drugs cases in a bid to encourage information from the public.
Assistant Chief Constable Steve Cotterill said: “I hope people use the new section of the website to find out more about the action we’re taking and feel confident in coming forward with information about drugs in their area.”
Last year drugs offences rose to 2,768 compared to 2,615 the year before. Mr Cotterill attributed the six per cent rise to greater information from communities and good police work. See www.derbyshire.police.uk
