A Chesterfield man who stole five days after appearing in court for shoplifting has been locked up.

Christopher Bullock stole £43 of goods from the Co-Op, on March 16, and £88 of items from Asda, on March 28.

Bullock, 27, of Chantrey Avenue, Newbold, admitted the thefts before Nottingham magistrates, on March 30.

He also breached a suspended sentence, made on March 11, for stealing £80 of toys from Game, on Burlington Street.

He was jailed for 20 weeks and must pay £43 compensation.
