One of the four defendants on trial for murder has had the case against him discontinued today (Thursday September 19).
Alan Chapman, 27, of Bath Street, Derby, was on trial at Nottingham Crown Court for the murder of father-of-six Mick Moss, who died at his Ilkeston home on January 30.
Also charged with murder were his mother Collette Booth, 47, of Mill Steet, Ilkeston, Jamie Elliott, 27, of North Street, Alfreton, and Nathan Hall, 24, of Birchwood Lane, Somercotes. But Chapman is no longer facing a charge of murder.
The trial continues for Booth, Elliot and Hall. It has been adjourned this afternoon until Wednesday September 25.
