Arrests after bike stolen

A TRIO of teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of stealing a mountain bike from a house in Alfreton.

At around 6.30pm on Sunday, October 30, a man heard a knock on the front door of his home in Mansfield Road.

Before he answered the door it was opened by a teenage boy who then stepped into the hallway and asked for money. The victim refused to give him any money and the boy then allegedly took a mountain bike from the house.

Two boys, aged 15 and 17-years-old, and a 16-year-old girl were arrested later that evening on suspicion of burglary. They have been released on bail pending further inquiries. If you have information about burglary cal Derbyshire police on the new non-emergency number, 101.
