Arrest after Heanor blaze

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a suspicious fire at an address in Fletcher Street, Heanor.

Police and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the house at 1am on Sunday, May 13, after what is believed to be a petrol bomb was thrown at the door.

There was no one inside the address and there was no internal damage caused to the house. A minor fire had been put out by the time the fire service arrived.

A 27-year-old man from Langley Mill has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent and will be questioned later.

There is no link between this incident and the fire at Victory Road, Derby.
